Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Philip Shaibu of Edo State have retraced their steps by publicly admitting that the APC national chairman Adams Oshiomole is their Godfather in politics.
The statement was made yesterday by the the Governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki few hours after the Appeal court runs in favor of Oshiomole by reinstating him as the APC national chairman, Godwin Obaseki immediately sends his congratulations to the former Edo state governor.
Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomole on the other hand has admitted his wrong that he should not have gotten involved in a rift with his party members as the APC national chairman..
Governor Godwin Obaseki and Adams Oshiomole has made a promise to keep their differences aside and fight for the betterment of the ruling party APC together as a team.
Adams Oshiomole helped Godwin Obaseki to become the governor of Edo state in 2016 where he defeated pastor Ize Iyamu of the PDP.
Philip Shaibu on the other hand has always been the APC national chairman\’s right hand man and Adams Oshiomole always assist him to win elections and also assist him in constituency projects.
Adams Oshiomole and Obaseki has been at rift for months over who to control the affairs of the state. Now, they have both agreed to work together as a team and Obaseki has accepted Adams Oshiomole as his godfather in politics.
