Just In: Amid Adoption Attempt, Counsel To Wada, Sam Okutepa ( SAN ) Reminiscences His Motivation To Remain Resolute

It is no longer news whether there is plan to adopt, Jibrin Sam Okutepa, the lead counsel to Engr Musa Wada of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), what is now making news however is Okutepa\’s reaction to the satanic attempt by some miscreants of the society.

News broke out on Wednesday earlier the week how some idiots from Kogi made an attempt to adopt Okutepa who is perceived to be an obstacle in manipulating the Kogi Nov 16 Guber case at the tribunal as many Analysts have reported of him to have argued intelligently in a way he presented the case for Engr Musa Wada of PDP against Yahaya Bello of APC.

It is reported that Okupeta presented an overwhelming evidences how Nov 16 Kogi Gubernatorial election was massively rigged to include: over voting, open manipulation of election result sheets, use of helicopters and thuggery at the instance of compromised men in uniform, just to point a few.

Jibrin Sam Okutepa who remains resolute to see the end of what he describes \”cruelty and audacity of arrogance\” by those who force their way to power, says, his backing is on God Almighty.

In his own words, he says, \”Today I pray the prayers of David in Psalms 7:1 wherein he prayed to God
\”O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me\”…

He also says, \”In my little years of practice, I have always tried within the limits of my understanding of the law to help those who are denied justice to get justice using the instrumentality of law\”.

Let us read Jibrin Sam Okutepa full reaction to adoption attempt on him:

\” Today I pray the prayers of David in Psalms 7:1 wherein he prayed to God
\”O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me\”.

This was my prayers on this day in 2013.

Today I pray the same prayers that David prayed.

In my little years of practice, I have always tried within the limits of my understanding of the law to help those who are denied justice to get justice using the instrumentality of law.

The underlying factor for my legal fights is justice.

The downtrodden and the oppressed have always been my friends and clients.

In fighting for justice I take no political sides.

Everyone in any political party being oppressed or who is being denied justice and those who find me worthy to approach me for my legal services and who had good cause become my clients.

This I love to do with every commitment within the ambit of the rules of professional conduct.

I have always been the eyes for the blind and the cause I knew not I bore it out of my desire that injustice is evil and wicked.

In a democratic society, the worst form of injustice is where the will of the people is circumvented and undermined with such cruelty and audacity of arrogance that whether you like it or not there is this \”I must win mentality\”.

When I noticed such cruelty and audacity of arrogance I find it repulsive to common sense good conscience and equity.

When the suffering of the masses does not matter to you, you take on the garment of satan who comes to kill and to destroy.

So when I see these signs anywhere, it gives me anxious moments and I really will fight such monumental injustice.

The reason is simple. I belong to a profession that is the light of the society.

That is the legal profession. The legal profession must be used for social engineering.

That profession must be used for the goodness of mankind.

So because light does not discriminate and it shines in darkness and darkness cannot comprehend it, I decided to use this legal profession as light on the streets of darkness in our society.

Why then should anyone hate me for doing my job.

Again I pray this morning O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust save me from all of them that persecute me, and deliver me from the hands of evil doers.

It is scriptural that whatever I lay my hands to do I shall prosper.

The testimonies of God deliverances over me from the time I was conceived till now are inexhaustible and unexplainable.

That same God is still on the throne. Jesus is lord\”.
