Goemai Man from Shendam local government area of Plateau State, Jos identified as Joel Gyang said he developed high blood pressure waiting for TELPECON Grant
Joel Gyang disclosed this to ourworldgist, reporter, Felix Yusuf in a telephone conservation on Sunday morning being 24th January, 2021.
Asked how is TELPECON responsible to his health challenge, Joel Gyang responded thus:
\” My Church member introduced me to an NGO late 2019 which is believed to be collating data for TELPECON grant disbursement.
After juicy promises from my church member, I joined the NGO with the sum of N2,500 which he said was for for ID card and administrative cost.
He promised the grant would be ready before Christmas 2019 but to my greatest surprise, I waited in vain without disbursement.
I was later told the disbursement was shifted to January 2020 but waited in vain also without disbursement; this continued till covid-19 came in Match 2020 and the worst to complicate the issue, lockdown followed and the whole thing was shifted on covid-19 promising that as soon as the lockdown was over, disbursement would follow.
From August 2020 till date, January 2021, these unknown people behind this grant have given different dates with series of excuses and the suspense still continue without grant.
This situation has caused me to develop high blood pressure because I put so much hope on the said grant and it seems not forth coming.
I almost killed myself in December 2020 when they gave 22nd December 2020 as the date of disbursement and it never happened \”.
