The candidate of the Peoples\’ Democratic Party (PDP), in November 16 Kogi Gubernatorial election, Engr Musa Wada has charged the United States of American ( USA ) to extend visa ban to electoral officers and security officers who aided the rigging of the said election in Kogi state.

Engr Musa Wada made this call while reacting to USA\’s VISA  ban on some notable individuals who rigged Kogi election to the advantage of the ruling party, APC.

Engr Musa Wada reacting further said, \”If the election riggers are shielded with impunity within our system; they now know there are consequences abroad\”.

He stressed, \”The best favor president Muhammadu Buhari and the 9th national assembly should bequeat on Nigerians at this time, and perhaps the best punishment for election riggers is an amended electoral act that would guarantee, free, fair, and credible elections in the country ; where the votes of Nigerians would truly count\”.

His full reaction reads:
\”I join many kogites and nigerians in applauding the US and other Democratic nations in taking a bold step against the anti democratic elements in Nigeria.

If the election riggers are shielded with impunity within our system; they now know there are consequences abroad.

Let\’s continue to have our voices together and call out for tougher actions to be meted out by the international community to these individuals who continue to subvert the will of the people, and undermine the nations democratic process.

The wanton acts of coercion, intimidation and violence against citizens, before, during and after elections by unscrupulous individuals cannot be allowed to continue.

The travel ban should go beyond politicians and includes electoral officers, security officials and judicial officers who undermine our democracy during and after elections

The best favor president Muhammadu Buhari and the 9th national assembly should bequeat on Nigerians at this time, and perhaps the best punishment for election riggers is an amended electoral act that would guarantee, free, fair, and credible elections in the country ; where the votes of Nigerians would truly count\”.
